Nesa Arefian ACC/ NZ Registered Osteopath
I’m Nesa, originally from Iran where I studied dentistry and worked as a dentist for eight years. My journey then brought me to beautiful New Zealand, where I trained in osteopathy and discovered a deeper way to care for people.
My passion for osteopathy began during my dentistry career, when I noticed that many cases of jaw and tooth pain were linked to tension in the neck and jaw muscles. This curiosity led me to study osteopathy—not only to treat jaw (TMJ) problems, but also to embrace its holistic approach to health, which sees the body as an interconnected whole.
I have a special interest in treating TMJ disorders, alongside offering the full scope of osteopathic care. Each treatment is tailored to the unique needs of your body, aiming to restore balance, reduce pain, and support long-term wellbeing.
Outside of the clinic, I live with my son and our playful German Shepherd–Husky, Sina. I love dancing, learning to swim, and spending time outdoors with my energetic four-legged companion.
I believe in listening, caring, and treating the whole person—so you can feel better, move better, and live better.
